The keys to success online marketing are numerous and often inter-related. And some are more important than others.

• Provide quality content that meets user expectations - ask the question: "What are we bringing people here to do, see or buy?"
• Create a credible resource and build a community of users.
• Have an easy to navigate, fast loading web site.
• Find ways to have links to your site on other web sites. This is called reciprocal linking.
• Provide an email newsletter and send out periodically with links to quality content on you site.
• When selling a product or some services, consider creating an affiliate program.
• Promote affiliations and partner programs.
• Form key strategic alliances and and prepare to work in a joint venture whenever possible.
• Work the search engines.
• Use web-based and traditional "broadcast" advertising and track your results.
• Qualify yourself with a media as an expert in your market or area of expertise.
• Implement email auto responders so you can have additional email contact with inquirers and clients.
• Build relationships and stay in contact with prospects, clients, suppliers, investors, and the media.
• Encourage referrals from your clients and customers.
• Create a customer service model that is responsive.
• Check back with customers about their experience with your product or service, customer service and your web site.
