Dear Ada County Neighbors,
Welcome. I’m running for Ada County Commissioner for one reason—to keep our communities a great place to live.
When I first ran for the state legislature in 2002, I promised that he would speak up for you. Preserving our open spaces, protecting our air quality and fighting for lower property taxes are some of the many issues that I’ve been proud to champion.
A record of leadership.
As a legislative leader, I’ve sponsored and passed laws critical to protecting our unique quality of life:
Lowered property taxes by increasing the homeowner’s exemption for the
first time in nearly 30 years
Protected air quality by requiring all cars in the Treasure Valley to meet
emission standards—not just Ada County
Increased ethics and openness in government by strengthening lobbyist
reporting requirements
Our future is at stake.
Strong leadership is needed more than ever as our area faces significant economic challenges. I am a strong and active voice committed to the issues that matter to you.
I’m a three-term State Legislator, small businessman and an avid hunter and angler. I have a clear vision for Ada County’s future that includes improving our transportation system, making growth pay for itself, and keeping our economy healthy.
